Our carbon fiber tent stakes have an aluminum point for better penetration and durability, and they now come
with an aluminum head. The aluminum heads add .02oz over the original nylon heads, but are much more
durable. Available in two lengths, 6" and 9". The point adds 3/8", so they are actually 6-3/8" and 9-3/8" long.
These things really work. While we don't recommend this, we've driven them into frozen ground with a sledge
hammer. The 9" stakes hold very well in looser soils, sand, and packed snow, while the 6" stakes do very well
in most other soils. These stakes are about the diameter of a Bic pen. This larger diameter allows them to
hold better than really thin skewer type stakes, and yet they don't weigh any more.
